The True Goal of Islam in America
(and Around the World)
For those of us in the West, Islam is usually understood as just another religion. For those schooled in Islam, however, it is much more. It is both a religion and a government -- and as such both must be considered together as one entity. For the true Muslim, religion and political control can never be viewed separately. Every aspect of life is circumscribed by Islam through Sharia, Islamic law.
Sayid Abul Ala Maududi, 1903-1979, was a popular Sunni Pakistani journalist, theologian and political philosopher -- a major 20th century Islamic thinker. In his book, Jihad in Islam, printed by the Holy Koran Publishing House in Beirut, 1980, Maududi states categorically on page 9:
"Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a state on the basis of its own ideology and programme, regardless of which nation assumes the role of the standard bearer of Islam or the rule of which nation is undermined in the process of establishment of an ideological Islamic state. It must be evident to you from this discussion that the objective of Islamic jihad is to eliminate the rule of an un-Islamic system and establish in its stead an Islamic system of state rule. Islam does not intend to confine this revolution to a single state or a few countries: the aim of Islam is to bring about a universal revolution."
Maududi, of course, is only stating what the Koran itself asserts:
"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him." (surah 3:85)
"Seize them and slay them wherever you find them: and in any case take no friends or helpers from their ranks." (surah 4:89)
"For the Unbelievers are open enemies to you." (surah 4:101)
"For the Unbelievers, Allah has prepared a humiliating punishment." (surah 4:102)
"I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers. Smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips of them. It is not you who slew them: it was Allah." (surah 8:13-17)
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day." (surah 9:29)
According to the Koran, then, all unbelievers must be swept aside in any way possible to establish the universal rule of Islam. This is Islamic jihad.
Those who wish to view Islam as just another religion have not faced the facts. It is not possible for Islam in its pure form to exist in a democratic fashion peacefully coexisting with other religions. Muslim "spin doctors" in America belonging to CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, would have us believe the myth that Islam is just another religion, but the truth betrays them.
Omar M. Ahmad, former Chairman of the Board of CAIR "let the cat out of the bag." Reporter Lisa Gardner of the San Ramon Valley Herald took down exactly what he said in Fremont, CA, on July 4, 1998:
"Islam isn't in America to be equal with any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."
Ahmad has since denied this statement, but it has never been retracted by the San Ramon Valley Herald. Reporter Lisa Gardner stands by her story. This is symptomatic of CAIR's activities -- never communicating the real goal of Islam -- which would be unacceptable to American ears. Maududi and the Koran tell it straight, but CAIR will always find a way to "worm out of" the truth about Islam. Another good source of information is called: jihadwatch.
CAIR and other similar organizations would want us to believe that Islam always makes any society better, but again, the truth betrays this assertion. The proof is easy to produce. Saudi Arabia is the great motherland of Islam -- the purest manifestation of Koranic government on earth. One would think that Saudi society would be one of the best on the planet. Each year the US State Department puts out a rating of human rights violations country by country at their webside, US Department of State Human Rights Reports. Every year Saudi Arabia is near the top of the list for human rights violations -- not a very good recommendation for rule under the Koran!
No, Islam is not just another religion, and it cannot hide under the cloak of that misconception when its own teachings and practices are exposed.
